  III.  The Reading of our Purpose

Katherine Mead read the Purpose.

The purpose of this organization shall be the promotion of interest in Amateur Radio communications, the furtherance of the public welfare, the advancement of the radio art, the fostering of education in the field of electronic communications, and the dissemination of knowledge and information of the Amateur Radio Service. The Club is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.


  IV.  Approval of Agenda for January 8, 2018  

Moved: Steven Phillips; Second: Carolyn Roesbery to approve the January 8, 2018 agenda.  Motion passed.


  V.  Approval of Minutes for December 18, 2017 

Moved: Stephen Phillips; Second: Bob Behrends to approve January 8, 2017 with corrections dealing.  Motion passes.


  VI.  Treasurer’s report

Bob reported CARC balance on 12 March 2018 to be $957.64.  Moved Stephen Phillips; Second: Carolyn Roesbery to enter an executive session will follow tonight’s meeting.  March 15th is the deadline for 2018 membership.

There are currently no communications.

  IX.  Emergency Coordinator Report  

Tomorrow will be the ARES conference call.  Ralf recommends listening in to the conference call.  Ralf stresses the importance communications.

  X.  Unfinished Business

  I.  The Wave Committee will meet tomorrow 6pm at training room.

  II.  Discussion of priority trainings/activities related to emergency preparedness.  Joanie is willing to discuss emergency procedures in the first week of April.  She will talk about how CARC can interact with shelters, EOC, and CERTs.  Joanie will learn more eventually about RACES and CARC involvement.


EMCOM should be discussed after The Wave (13th April) and Joanie’s Program (2nd April).  It is an online course and we may be able to break it down into chapters and let people present the chapters. 


  III.  Ham Radio Test 26th March 2018

Need to sign up on ANC website and pay $15

Looks like people are too busy to take the test on the 26th March
